Undone by the Duke – Giveaway #5

lady_most_willingIt’s time for giveaway #4! If you missed giveaway #1 for one of my books, giveaway #2 for Larissa Ione, giveaway #3 for Margery Scott, or giveaway #4 for Kristan Higgins, you can still go back and enter them.

Connie Brockway writes amazing Historical romances. Her newest release in the anthology, The Lady Most Willing, with authors Eloisa James and Julia Quinn is a hilarious story that you’ll absolutely love.

At the behest of three of the most talented historical romance authors writing today, you are cordially invited to a ball. No, a party. No . . . a kidnapping.

Taran Ferguson, laird of his clan, is determined that his ancient (if not so honorable) birthright be secured before he dies. When both his nephews refuse to wed, the old reprobate takes matters into his own hands: he raids a ball and makes off with four likely brides . . .

Miss Marilla Chisholm-the bonniest lass in Scotland, and an heiress to boot.

Miss Fiona Chisholm-her older sister, another fine choice (but for that tiny stain on her reputation).

Lady Cecily Tarleton-true, she’s an English beauty, but very, very rich.

Miss Catriona Burns-without name or fortune, clearly someone made a mistake.

Oh, yes. And one very irate duke.

Because somewhere there must be one lady most willing to love a Scottish lord.

To win a print or e-book copy of The Lady Most Willing, just subscribe to my newsletter below and send me an email telling me that you’d like to win Connie Brockway’s book, and whether you’d prefer print or e-book. One random winner will be chosen from the entries, and the winner will be announced tonight. Good luck to all!

One of my favorite authors and friends is Kristan Higgins. She writes hilarious contemporary romances, and she has a new book coming out on February 28th, The Best Man, that is already on my pre-order list.

Her Rita-Award winning book Catch of the Day is a book I’ve read and re-read many times. It will make you laugh and cry, and it stays with you for a long time. If you haven’t tried one of Kristan’s books before, now’s your chance! I’m giving away a copy of Catch of the Day to one lucky reader (your choice, print or e-book).

catchSparks will fly, but this catch of the day could be the dish of a lifetime!

Undone by the Duke Giveaway #3

emmaswishIt’s time for giveaway #3! If you missed giveaway #1 and giveaway #2, you can still go back and enter them.

I’ve known Margery Scott for nearly twenty years. She writes both suspense and historical books and has been a dear friend. I’m going to give away two different Kindle e-books by Margery. Both are historical westerns, if you love a good cowboy story. First is a copy of Emma’s Wish.

Still grieving his wife’s death, Sam Jenkins needs a mother for his children. He can’t build his ranch and care for three precocious youngsters alone. Emma Witherspoon has accepted the fact that she will never have a husband and children of her own, but that doesn’t ease the ache in her heart. When Emma makes Sam an offer he can’t refuse, neither of them can foresee the changes in their lives because of two little words – “I do.”

cadeSecond, Margery is offering a copy of her newest novella, Cade.

When revenge leads Cade Morgan to hold up a stagecoach and kidnap his childhood friend, Isabella Morrow, he discovers his feelings for her are stronger than ever. He suspects Bella feels the same way, so why is she intent on marrying another man? And what kind of future can he offer her now that he’s wanted by the law?

For your chance to win, subscribe to my newsletter below (if you haven’t already), and e-mail me, telling me that you’d like to win one of Margery’s books. I’ll draw two winning entries at random and winners will be announced tonight. Good luck!
No purchase necessary, void where prohibited.

Release Day – Undone by the Duke

Undone by the Duke Today is the release date for Undone by the Duke! I’m so excited about this book, and I hope you’ll enjoy my first Regency romance. This book is much longer than my previous books, and it’s a cross between Project Runway and Little Women. Romantic Times gave the book a 4-star rating and the reviewer wrote, “Well written, aptly conveying a strong sense of family among the sisters, the quartet shows great promise.”

New York Times Bestselling Author Connie Brockway also recommended the book: “Back to the past for Michelle Willingham’s Undone by the Duke! Beautiful, gentrified Victoria Andrews sews fantasy lingerie for an aristocratic clientele. But when a wounded duke in disguise shows up at her doorstep, she sets her needle to another use. Before you can say Victoria’s Secret, the duke and the agoraphobic lady are unraveling each other’s fears, pasts, and hearts, in a tender, exquisitely romantic tale. I so enjoyed this quietly intense and richly satisfying romance.”

The book is on sale for $3.99 in Kindle format, $7.16 in paperback, and UK readers can get a Kindle copy for only £0.99 from today until February 17th. If you don’t have a Kindle, you can download the free Kindle app to use on any tablet or smart phone. If you have a Nook or other e-reader, I’ve asked that the book be made DRM free so that you can download a Kindle version to your computer and use the free Calibre software to convert the file to the format of your choice.

Today to celebrate my release, I’m going to be hosting giveaways throughout the day. Many, many authors have supported me throughout the years of my writing, and I’d like to thank them for always being such a wonderful support. I’ll send out alerts via Facebook and Twitter of what each giveaway is, and you can go back and enter previous giveaways. All giveaways will be announced tonight, to give many people the chance to enter.

The first giveaway is for one of my own titles! This one is specific to Kindle readers (if you prefer print, I’ll be doing print giveaways later in the day. If you live in the UK, I’ll give away a Kindle version of Undone by the Duke to five winners. For U.S. readers, I’m giving away a copy of The Warrior’s Touch to five winners. If you are in Australia or another country where you can access the titles from either Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com, let me know that in your e-mail and you are also eligible to enter. To enter, just subscribe to my newsletter below and then send me an e-mail telling me whether you’d like the U.S. book or the UK book. I’ll draw five random winners for each version and announce the winners later this evening. warrior's touch Good luck!

Autumn News

Here in Virginia, it takes longer for the leaves to change colors, but already it’s growing cooler outside. The children are playing soccer, and I’m hard at work on new books. I will have three new releases in the coming months–lots of new stories to share! The first is a MacEgan Christmas anthology of three intertwined stories about the children of the MacEgan Brothers. Liam, Rhiannon, and Brianna will all have their stories in Warriors in Winter. It is already available in Germany under the title Historical Weihnachtsband 005. It will be available November 13, 2012, in stores and online in the U.S. and the first week of December in the UK. The e-book version will be out on December 1st.

The next story available will be The Accidental Prince, the sequel to The Accidental Princess. I always wanted to write a story for Karl von Lohenberg, and his book will be available February 19th in stores and March 1st in e-book form.

Last, is Undone by the Duke, my very first single-title Regency, coming from Amazon Montlake. I’d always wanted to write a longer book, and this one is 1/3 longer than all the other books I’ve written. It’s about an agoraphobic heroine who hasn’t left the house in five years and a duke who lands on her doorstep. It will be available in print and e-book format on February 12, 2013, just in time for Valentine’s Day! It will be a quartet of books, linked by the series name Secrets in Silk.

At the moment, I am working on three different projects. First, I’m working on Unraveled by the Rebel, book two in the Secrets in Silk series. I’m also working on a story for Dougal MacKinloch (tentatively titled Rescued by the Highland Warrior) that will be in an anthology, available in May 2013. Last, I’m writing book 2 in a Viking series that will begin next September 2013. I’ve been very busy–can you tell?!

The family is doing well, and the children are enjoying school. My youngest son is in kindergarten, and he constantly entertains me with information he’s learning. Last night, I blinked when he asked, “Mom, where did I come from?” I quickly answered, “The hospital.” Then he shook his head and said, “No, Mom, I mean what store did you buy me from?” 🙂

At the end of next month, I’ll be participating in the Harlequin Historical Advent Calendar. Look for daily giveaways from our authors and a grand prize of a Kindle Fire (or equivalent value Kindle)!

If you’d like to be e-mailed whenever I have a new release out, please scroll down to the bottom of this page and enter your e-mail address in the box after the word Newsletter. I only send out occasional newsletters during a new release month.

Sending out very best wishes to all of you!

Michelle

June News

Many readers who have enjoyed the MacKinloch Clan series have asked me–“Will Callum have a book?”

The answer is a resounding YES, and I’m pleased to say that it is now available. This was a unique book for me to write, since I had never attempted a silent hero. How do you write dialogue for a man who cannot speak? How do you convey his feelings for the heroine when he has no voice? It was a challenge I’d never attempted before, and there were times when I wanted to whack my head against the wall and say, “Michelle, WHAT were you thinking when you created this man?”

There was another point in the book where I had just finished writing the middle….and realized it WASN’T the middle after all. It was the end of the book, and it forced me to go back and write brand new scenes in the “middle.” Through it all, I felt an immense pressure to make this Romeo & Juliet story the right one for Callum and Marguerite. They were very special characters and deserved a strong story. I hope you’ll enjoy it! Early reviews have been terrific, and here’s one from Romantic Times Magazine that gave it 4 stars:

“Well-crafted, brimming with historical details and romantic from beginning to end, this is Willingham at her best.”–Kathe Robin

Visit the page for Tempted by the Highland Warrior here for buy links and an excerpt.

But there’s more June news! Once again, the Harlequin Historical authors have teamed up to give away a Kindle Fire (or highest valued Kindle in your country). Each participating author will have an activity planned on their website for their special day. You may be asked to comment on a blog, do a scavenger hunt, or visit a Facebook page. For each day you participate, your name will be entered into the Grand Prize drawing.

At the end of the month on June 29, one day from the calendar will be randomly selected. One of the entrants from that day will then be randomly selected to win the grand prize of a Kindle Fire (or whichever equivalent product is available in your region).

The more days you visit, the better your chances!

The winner of my Beach Bag Giveaway was Kim Cagle. Congratulations!
