   young, modern woman.
4. Straight contemporaries don’t do well for them (category romance meets those needs).
5. Lauren McKenna—love medievals. They are very conservative on the historical market and stick to tried-and-true settings. They want SEXY books with alpha heroes, fast-paced books, deeply emotional, and humor works well. They always like Scottish historicals. They want clever books with strong series hooks.
6. They will consider paranormal historicals or even paranormal erotica.
7. Micki Nuding—enjoys romantic suspense with sexy heroes.
8. New series of YA books called MTV Books. These are more commercial fiction, 50-75,000 words. Would like to see a vampire teen book.
